JOIN THE QUEST!

This year marks the 10th Anniversary of the World Affairs Councils of America's flagship education program for high school students on global issues, Academic WorldQuestT.

Below is all the information you need to Join the Quest to prepare American high school students across the country for the opportunities and challenges of the 21st Century:

  • 2011-2012 AWQ Categories
  • Study Guide
  • National Competition Details
  • And More!

Councils: Please note that a Complete Set of Questions will be available this year by September 1st for Council use in their local competitions.  We are hoping this will help facilitate Councils' participation in this 10th Anniversary year.

Founded in 2003, the competition is a team game testing high school students' knowledge of international affairs.

During the academic year preceding the National Competition in the spring, approximately 3000 students across the country participate in competitions hosted by over 40 local World Affairs Councils in 26 states.

Winning teams are invited to represent their high school, city, and local council at the national competition, held in the spring each year in Washington, DC.
