Internships

MIC recruits qualified individuals to assist us in our day-to-day operations.  Our unpaid intern positions provide a unique opportunity to obtain practical experience while learning about the local international community and gaining insight into international nonprofit organizations.

We have internships in the following areas:

Interns volunteer 10 hours per week, between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.  Internships are available during the following time periods:

Spring Semester (January - May)
Summer (June - August)

Fall Semester (September-December)

Although most internships last only an academic semester, we do offer year-long internships.  Year-long positions differ depending on organizational needs.  If you are interested in interning at MIC for a 10-12 month period, please indicate your interest when completing the online application.  The link to the online application is found below.

Spring
Priority Deadline: December 1
Interviews: December 1 - December 15
Spring term begins: week of January 15
Spring term ends: mid to late May

Summer
Priority Deadline: March 30
Interviews: March 31 - April 31
summer term begins: May 15 - week of June 1
Summer term ends: last week in August

Fall
Priority Deadline: July 31
Interviews: July 15 - August 31
Fall term begins: week of September 1
Fall term ends: mid-December

After your application is processed, you may be asked to submit a writing sample.  Your writing sample need not be long; 2-5 pages in length is sufficient.  Upon receiving your completed online application, résumé and cover letter, MIC may contact you for an interview.
