Position Title: Administration - Intern Program

The Internship Program (IP) is a keystone program in the operation of MIC.  It is responsible for the hiring and management of approximately half the MIC staff.  The Internship Program Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the progress of individual interns as well as sustaining positive relationships between interns and supervisors.

Supervisor: Intern Coordinator

Responsibilities/Duties:

To assist the IP Coordinator in the following areas:

  • Organize and execute events such as the Intern Potluck and the Farewell Party
  • Maintain database and filing systems on intern-related matters
  • Distribute and record intern questionnaires, evaluation forms, timesheets, etc.
  • Coordinate recruitment notifications

Qualifications:

IP encourages its interns to actively participate in the direction of the program.  In order to effective contribute, the intern must have:

  •  Strong organizational and communication skills
  •  Attention to detail
  •  An ability to work on several projects simultaneously
  •  An ability and interest in person-to-person interaction
  •  Interest or coursework in business administration, nonprofit management and human         resources.
